Shock absorbers

Shock absorbers are among the essential safety elements of your car.

By keeping the wheel in contact with the ground, they contribute to comfort and provide your vehicle with better grip and better braking and thus contribute to your safety while driving.

For the sake of safety, balance and handling of the vehicle, the shock absorbers are replaced strictly in pairs and therefore per axle: front and/or rear.

The shock absorbers are not visible, making them more difficult to check.

They keep the wheels pressed to the ground in all circumstances (braking, acceleration, turns), and are used 5,000 times per kilometer on average.

Signs of wear?

Shock absorbers in poor condition accelerate the wear of the vehicle's mechanical elements: suspension springs, steering bodies, universal joints, differential, tires, rubber suspension elements.

This is why it is recommended to have your car's shock absorbers replaced after 80,000 km and in any case, to have them checked every 20,000 km.
